Proudly serving the home and garden needs of our community since 1996, today McKinleyville Ace Home and Garden Center holds the distinction of being a Platinum Ace Retailer.

As with most local business, McKinleyville Ace Home & Garden Center started small – as McKinleyville Ace Hardware, a basic neighborhood hardware store. We opened our doors in 1996, next to what was then Safeway at the corner of Pickett and Central Avenue in McKinleyville.

We quickly saw that our new community was growing and needed more than just your basic hardware store. When Safeway announced their move to a new location, we seized the opportunity to expand. After renovating the old Safeway building and adding a green house, we re-opened our doors in 2003 as McKinleyville Home & Garden Center.

Since then we have hardly sat idle. We are dedicated to being Humboldt’s Helpful Home & Garden Center, and we have continued to expand our current services. Despite all of our growth and expansion, we haven’t forgotten our small-store roots. We are committed to serving all our customers, from the seasoned contractor to the first time do-it-yourselfer.
